I write these articles for professionals and students who want to learn how state-of-the-art design and development evolved over time. This helps to understand how modern techniques were developed and why the new techniques, which are sometimes based on theoretical work from the 1930s to the 1960s, were developed. Some techniques were developed theoretically long ago and are used today nearly unchanged because today's machines have enough computing power. I am convinced that knowing what is under the hood helps you get better results, even with modern techniques like the functional paradigm, object-oriented paradigm, distributed systems, modern AI development, and cloud systems, to name a few.
There will be many more topics to write about. If you are interested, visit this page from time to time. You can also e-mail me.
